You mean like a cup?

Would a chamois do?

You could get a recumbent. No groin problems with these. I picked up a used one recently for $300, with all accessories, and I'm really enjoying it. I've never ridden such a comfortable bike.

I saw a bike with a black chamois covering a wider-saddle. Wondering if that might help.

I prefer shorts a half size small for better support. A cup is for protection against others, not your own injuries. Bottom line? Ask the Doc.
