70's era G. Lapierre Superlux
I just purchased a 70's era Lapierre Superlux at a garage sale for $2.00. I bought it to fix and ride. I know almost nothing about this brand/model. The only info I have found on the web is that there where alot of them built and that the company is still in business. I seems to be pretty much original except for a Simplex rear derailer which I don't think was original. The tires are Michelin 28-630 (27 X 1 1/4 FIFTY) brown walls. I am guessing they are original by the weather checking. It is in quite good condition but does need a new derailer, tires and possibly a gear set on rear wheel. Otherwise just some general maintenance will have it in good shape. Can anyone tell me any more about the bike... original price, current value range, etc? I do not want to "fix" it too much if it is worth something.
Thanks
