What frame size fits me?!

I currently ride a Trek 1000 Road bike (frame size C-T 60cm), but that one is too small. The distance between the top of my seat and center of the bottom bracket is around 86cm (which means a stand over of 110cm).

I'm about to buy a new Trek 7.3FX (a bike from their Fitness series), but I don't know if the frame is supposed to be about the same size, bigger or maybe even smaller.
I ordered a 22,5", but after having done some research I'm leaning more towards a 25". With a shorter stem that should work. If I change my mind soon I'll be able to change the 22,5 into a 25".
My guess is that with a 22,5 the handlebar drop will be too large.

BUT does anyone know if the fitness bike frame is supposed to be smaller or bigger than a road bike?

I hope someone can tell what the best frame size would be...
my length is 191cm /6'3
my inseam is 94,5cm
torso: 65cm

Thanks in advance,
Linda

94.5 (37")inseam! you are a leggy gal! I have a 34.5" inseam and for me a 25(64cm) road frame is a perfect fit for leg length and handlebar height.

Thanks! That means I defenitely need to go for a 25" bike.

You can NOT get fitted for a bike on the internet. Only by going to two or three good shops, and letting the staff fit you. However, most store staff assume that younger riders want a low, aggressive position on the bike, and fit customers on the smallest size that will fit.

I prefer a "heads up" position, as I ride in heavy inner city motor traffic. So, I prefer the tallest frame I can ride. So, when I am looking at a bike, I stand over the bike flat-footed, with my belt buckle about two inches behind the stem. It is okay if the top bar is lightly brushes against my jeans, but if the top bar is pressing into my crotch, that bike is too big. If there is more than an inch of daylight between the top tube and my jeans, that bike is too small.

Visit shops, take test rides. Don't ever buy a bike solely based on what you read on the internet.
