I definitely have to agree. Our society has made divorce way too easy and by far, too acceptable!

That is the main reason why I am so reluctant to get back into a serious relationship after almost getting married to someone that, after 2 1/2 years, I find out I barely even know! I am scared to death that I will fall in love and then end up getting married and in two or three years, bam, were are getting a divorce. Divorce scares me! I don't want to have to give up half of what I have got!

Plus, I am only 30 years old. Maybe in 10 or 15 years, I will be ready for marriage.

thankyou for the information.

i'm sure his competition will try and take advantage of the situation by playing a few mind games on him. hopefully he will have prepared himself for that if things are not mended by then.

Yup - I'm sure that this will happen. However, I can't imagine that mind games are going to hurt Lance. This sort of thing may, in fact, motivate an already highly motivated man.

Go Lance!

I think a lot of people get married way too young. I have noticed that americans get married younger than do canadians- in fact, I saw stats on this, showing they marry about 3 years younger than canadians do. And they have kids younger. And what I've seen bears this out. When you get married at 20, should you be surprised that you get divorced at 30? Who the hell knows what they're doing at that age?

It appears that Lance may not be the only one at fault.
The 25 March 2003 edition of the Star Magazine has an interesting article about the whole affair.

Yeah, but I'd be a little wary of anything a magazine wrote about a personal relationship. Seems to me that Lance and his family are the ones who know what really went on - any other account is just pure speculation.
