Clipless pedals

Im looking at buying some clipless pedals. My LBS has a pair of eggbeaters for $40 bucks for me. Should I go with them or go with one of the crank brothers with the combo platform clipless, like the Candy C? Is there something better in that price range?

I have a trek 4300 and a pair of shimano mtb shoes. Bought the shoes in advance since they were on sale. I dont ride any really hard trails. Mostly crushed limestone, cinder, dirt, paved and a bit of offroading now and again, but no really nasty stuff.

Yes. You couldn't go wrong with either the eggbeaters or the candy.

I have the candy on my Schwinn, I love em.

Better buy them before someone else at that price.

Best mail order seems to have those Crank Brothers eggbeaters for is around $55-$60. I'd go snarf them up, even if you just have them in a box for later on.
