Where have you ridden??

I've got a goal of riding in all the provinces in Canada, all the states in the US, all the states in Australia, and as many other countries as possible. It's not a goal that I'm going to accomplish in the next year or two ... it is something I'm working on throughout my life.

However, this year, I was able to add a whole bunch more US states to my list ... I'm nearly at the half-way mark!!

What about you?? Where have you ridden?? Any plans for some winter rides??

Me:
-- Canada: BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario
-- Australia: NSW, Queensland, Victoria, ACT, Tasmania, South Australia, Western Australia
-- US: Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hamshire, New Mexico, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Washington, West Virginia, and Wyoming (33 states)
-- UK: England, Wales, Scotland
-- France
-- Belgium
-- Taiwan
-- Japan
-- The Netherlands
-- Germany
-- Luxembourg
-- Switzerland

In 2012, so far, I've added Taiwan, Japan, Scotland, The Netherlands, Luxembourg and Switzerland to the list. Also Idaho, Oklahoma, Texas, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah. I've also added Western Australia.

I be poor and my son is young.
Consequently, my list is a tad shorter.

-downtown denver
-quite a few of the local trails.
-summit county
-boulder
-the foothills
-quite a few other locations in the denver metro area.

Ontario, Manitoba, Pennsylvania and Massachussetts. I expect to have a Bike Friday or other folder by next spring, and may soon be able to expand the list, most likely to BC and Quebec initially.

I've just ridden around the Miami-Dade county area. But I'd like to do some out of stare riding. Looks fun.

I like the idea of cycling in every state...

So far:
Washington
California
Pennsylvania
Massachusetts

I am under 90 minutes to drive to both New York and New Jersey, so maybe they'll be next. then within 2 hours I can be in Delaware, Connecticut or Maryland.

I should be able to finish the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast pretty easily, with just a couple of weekend trips.

Well if you count the Coast to Coast tour in 1977...about 15 states. I always wanted to ride to Hawaii I would love to do a tour of the Yorkshires and possibly the area around Darlington. Of course there are plenty of other places to visit too. Just not enough lifetime to do it in

Just a handful of states, now that I think of it:

California (duh).
Nevada, on the other side of Lake Tahoe and Mt. Rose.
Hawaii, when I coasted down a volcano.
Wisconsin, where I learned to ride a two-wheeler on my cousin's Schwinn.

I've got a sister-in-law that lives in Denmark, so I guess I should conquer biking in Denmark very soon.

I have to wait till I retire to find the time to do my tour of the USA and Europe. Like you I plan to tour most states. I also want to tour parts of Canada but where hasn't been decided. Europe is the other definite tour area, again plans for that have not been made. The USA tour will come first, and for that some planning is already underway; there is a trip my family are going to make to England next year where I will visit the Mercian bike shop in Derby and get custom fitted then have a bike shipped home when completed. Maps for USA tours are really good and very detailed with the biker in mind through Adventure Cycling Assoc.; it's those routes I intend to follow.

I ride there once in a while, it's about 40 miles from me.
If you get to this area again don't miss Martha's Vineyard island in Mass.

Over the years......

Canada B.C.
USA OR, WA, CA,NV,MO, MS,AR, KS

Europe: Denmark (Its flat Nachoman, no conquering needed) UK, Spain,
Germany, S. Norway, France, Hungary, Austria, Croatia

I really like Europe. I spent a year in Hungary, very hard to leave....
DK has alot of dedicated bike trails.
Some places in Euroland the shoulder is narrow to non existant. But
then roads are not so busy either. Im a rail trail explorer as of late.....

Neat idea Machka, I actually just made a list of the states I've bicycled in the other day, thinking that I should try to hit them all. I've visited 48 states, but I must have been wasting my time since I've only biked in 11 of them.

Japan: Kumamoto
Canada: Alberta
USA: Florida, Maryland*, Michigan, Montana, New Jersey*, New York, North Dakota, Oregon, Pennsylvania*, Virginia, Washington, Washington, D.C.*

* = I have cycled across the state, although not necessarily at the longest point.
