pretty pretty chainrings....
I'm sure you've noticed that some chainrings look plain and some just have an extremely intricate or neat looking design. I'm looking for some old chainrings with a pretty design for an art project. If anyone some old chainrings they're not going to use again - preferably big or middle sized, or the teeth have worn or something, I'd be happy to give you cost of shipping if you don't mind sending them. I'm going to paint a cycling mural....thanks!

Hi aikigreg!
I'm sorry, I don't have any arty chainrings to give you, but I'm interested in your project. Please post pictures of the nicer ones you find - we'd like to enjoy them too! Thanks |

I'm very fond of the Humber and Rudge chainrings. I have some nice Williams chainrings with the Raleigh Heron logo, but unfortunately I need them. |
OMG those are cool. I was thinking something more mundane - some of the mass production chainrings have sort of a floral pattern almost - like a lilly. I was gong to use them as stencils of a sort....though I'm havingother ideas as well. Maybe I can find some cheap on ebay.....

I'm still using my Heron. But I have noticed some available on ebay for pretty cheap.
