Sleeve length on long sleeve jerseys
I was looking to purchase a long sleeve jersey, but the sleeves are way too long (like six inches past my finger tips). I was looking at a large Pearl Izumi jersey. I am only 5'8", have short arms, and have lived in the weight room for the past several years (not literally). I don't think I can go any smaller than a large due to my chest/back/shoulder size. What should I do? Are arm warmers with a short sleeve jersey my only choice due to my non-cyclist build? Do different manufacturers have different sleeve lengths? Do I have to get a jersey tailored for it to fit?
Any ideas/suggestions would be greatly appreciated? Joe in OKC |
You've answer your own question. Taylor to fit.

Best bet would be to buy the jersey that fits the best, then take it to a tailor to get the sleeves cut to the appropriate length.

Cut and hem.
Or find someone willing to do it for you. |
Hm...story of my life...5'2" tall....sleeves too long...pants too long.... Just roll them up or get them hemmed. A tailor is actually pretty cheap. I get stuff altered all the time.

sent the extra sleeve to me...I have long arms and none of my jerseys come close to covering my wrists

Short sleve jersey and arm warmers.

What do you do with the non-cycling shirts you wear? Roll up the sleeves? Custom-tailor to fit? Look like a dork?
Your choices w/ cycling jerseys are the same. |
