Strange but true Sachs knockoff

It looks like a Chinese company is producing a 'modern' version of the Sachs Torpedo (Germany 1920s ?). I think Sachs is now owned by SRAM, and may not have any German connection anymore.

It looks like a generic 3-speed hub, and the gears with it, the metal looks pretty low-end (not sure though).

In any case, *any* stabs at innovation with multi-geared hubs is a good thing. Nothing wrong with Rohloff or SA hubs, but its cool to see more players offering more speciality items in this area.

Not much interested in the hub, but I'd love to get a stack of those 24t cogs to install on Sturmey Archer hubs.

I'm pretty sure I saw the Sachs plant in Schweinfurt last time I was there in 2001. I bought my Vaterland bike with a German made Sachs 3 speed Torpedo hub with coaster in 1998. My German made Sachs 7 Speed hubs were made in 1998 and 1999.
