I've never seen the point to one of these. Unless your ceiling is VERY high, than you will have head clearance issues.

I bought one of those from my local Costco a few years ago.....works great! Of course I have 12 foot ceilings in the garage.

If you hang it from the ceiling next to a wall, you won't have clearance issues. Or hang the bike over a low chest of drawers. We have 8ft. ceilings and I have been trying to get my husband to get a hoist. He has been resisting fiercely; I guess he likes me stumbling over his bike as I stumble over the dog(s) when I go to the bathroom in the middle of the night.
