Met a girl who can't ride a bike
This girl is a friend of a friend. 18 years old, and from Copenhagen, Denmark - a place where "everyone" bikes. Yet she can't ride a bike.
As it turned out, she has a balance problem, but you could never tell if you met her.
How sad, to not be able to learn how to ride a bike.

Teach her the basics right from the start-beginning with cleaning your bike and polishing the frame.
Or get one of these

Yeah, I mentioned both tandems and trikes to her, but I don't think she's very interested in it anyway.
She can't even run. Or walk a straight line.

Our kids have mitochondrial disease and one of the issues our 10-year-old daughter has is muscular in nature. This has affected her abitily to balance and keep a bike upright. We got her a 24" wheeled trike and she loves it. She's now one of my weekend riding partners. If you can borrow or rent one and let your friend try it out, she may end up loving it.

Balance problems aren't all that uncommon. I'm afraid I'm slowly progressing in that direction, and I'm not blonde.
Many people so afflicted may find that 3 wheelers will suit them, if they really need to cycle. Maybe I had better start checking them out!

One reason:

This affects my wife, mother-in-law, and a female friend.
None are blonde.

Her problem is congenital. And she's not a blonde...
In any case, she's not really interested in exercise at all.
I just wanted to remind people that not everyone is fortunate enough to even be able to ride a bike (even though I suppose a trike would do it in her case).

She enjoys yoga, though. Seems it's dynamic balance she has a problem with, and not static balance. If you understand what I mean.
