What are some good songs & a good lenght of time?
I am creating power presentations with the photo's I took while riding around Honolulu Hawaii with my action camera mounted to my handle bars. I am setting it to music. I need to know what are some good songs to set it to. The only restriction is no Hawaiian music please. Also what is a good lenght of time to allow people to view the photo until it changes to the next slide?

I'd say 3 to 5 seconds. It sounds short, but try it and see what works for you. Most slide shows I see are waaaaay too slow (but then I'm really smart and take in information quickly )
Music would depend on the kind of riding you are doing Bombing down Haliakala? Try Wipeout. Theme from Hawaii 5-0?
Maybe this is appropriate for rush hour also.
Something more pastoral? I've aways liked the music from "Victory at Sea."
No Hawaiian music? Shoot, I would write and play something on my ukuleke for you!

Also I was on Oahu, Haliakala is on Maui. That trip will happen in about 3 years from now. And when I bomb down the mountain after climbing up it I'll probably choose wipeout for the slide show. Hell I may even choose it for this one.

Need a long song? How about the DJ's favorite bathroom break song: Alro Guthrie's Alice's Restraunt.

If you want your slide show to be memorable, don't use cliche'd or overly familiar music.
There is a "new" guitar playing duo named RODRIGO y GABRIELA with a self-titled album out. It's got a jazz/flaminco/rock sound that can only be described as incredible. You have to hear them to believe it. It's just two guitar players but they sound like they have three drummers behind them. Most of their music is fast paced but there are one or two slow pieces (including a very interesting rendition of Stairway to Heaven) Go to www.rodgab.com and look for the link to the Craig Ferguson Show (bottom left I think) for a sample.

I just checked the site and it's been upgraded so their appearance on Letterman is available on the left side, as well as a few other performances.
Even if thi isn't slide show material, imagine them through good earphones on a trainer.

No Hawaiian music? How can you skip Izzy? Try Israel Kamakawewo'ole's hit single: "Over The Rainbow". His rendition is a Hawaiian classic.

So hawaiian music is out of the question?
FORGET IT!
If wipeout is the running I QUIT.
Go classical. I really like Indian music. Go Indian.

Can't go wrong with getting some "Led" out
The intro to "when the levee breaks" is the Zeppelin at its best

The 1st slide show I created is 86 slides long, each one is 10 seconds long. The 5 songs I have chosen are: Theme song to Hawaii-50, Magnum P.I., couldn't resist or obvious reasons. Oh Yeah, I just love this song for some reason. Low Rider, go figure I ride a recumbent. Finally a song called Brother Hood (With the Buffalo), it is from Brule off of the American Indian Rock Opera or AIRO cd, a great piece.
If anyone would like a copy of the slide show pm me & I'll send you one. CBHI, I will be emailing you one shortly.

Take a listen to "Stree Corner Symphony" by Rob Thomas. Play it while looking at your pictures. It fits nicely with biking.
