Best of the cheap headsets?

I'm in the market for a 1 1/8" threadless headset, but on a serious budget. What are some brands/models I should be looking at? The Cane Creek S-2 is consistantly on eBay for about $20. Opinions on this headset? Recommendations of others I should check out?

Thanks,
Mac

Yeah I'm somewhat familiar w/ the Pig from mtb'ing, people seem to love 'em. If I was building a mtb I wouldn't care about the weight. I'm not a weight-weenie, but if I can get a decent headset for an equivalent price, and save 80 grams in the process, that would be preferable. Thanks for the suggestion, keep 'em coming.

You'd really have to look far and wide to find a truly crappy headset. I've had lots of them but that was back in the old days. Today most everything is of fairly good quality. The S-2 is certainly not bad. The Aheadset STS isn't bad either and you can get it from Jenson for around $20.

Quality on headsets has gone up greatly -but provided you strip it- check it- regrease it on a regular basis- even the Cheap units will be OK. Its when you let everything go rusty and sieze up that you will have problems.

Even then at $15 a pop for a cheapo headsets it's almost not even worth the time to overhaul it sometimes.
