Ok. Time to go to the airport to pick up 19 year-old militant () daughter.

"Concourse D" (almost two miles of wonderful, air-conditioned, carpeted walking to Gate 4...then again, I can only guess at the distance.)

We have an indoor subway for the normal travellers. For the others, there is a George-Jetson-type moving sidewalk most of the trip.

For me, the societal reject, there is only one option: walk!

Man, what a blast. The only time I wasn't blowing by people was when I was walking alongside them as they took the moving sidewalk.

Look, dudes and dudettes, no disrespect. But I am comfortable with high cadence and that aerobic rush! You have your fun flying past me on the freeways. So this is your payback.

Hey, Pete, I know that corridor, too! I prefer to walk it also. However, if the slidewalk is empty enough, I jump on it AND high-cadence walk. Talk about a rush! I just have to remember to slow down toward then end or I get catapulted off the thing. When the slidewalk is crowded, which is most of the time, it is fun to pass the people who are sliding.
Regards,
Raymond
