treehugger.com has a celebrity bike watch.
"We asked and you delivered. Observant readers have inundated us with celebrity pedal pushers. This week: Daryl Hannah, Naomi Watts, Hilary Duff, Elle Macpherson, Chloe Sevigny, Lindsay Lohan, George Clooney, Keifer Sutherland, Estella Warren, Scout Niblett, The Governator.
It just so happens that Daryl Hannah featured urban biking on her video log this week!
Today the Gliving blog gave us select, smokin' archival shots of Hilary Duff, Naomi Watts, Elle Macpherson, Chloe Sevigny, Lindsay Lohan, and George Clooney.
Keifer Sutherland, perhaps on location at a 24 kidnapper's lair? From tipster Summer Bowen.
Bad-ass bike blogger Anna Cummings alerted us to Sunday's coverage of Estella Warren's Triathlete cover.
Jason Goodman sent in this beautiful shot of singer/songwriter Scout Niblett from a series he did of women on bikes. "

My favorite too Danno. As I posted on the last two celebrity bike threads, Jennifer keeps a bike to ride on the set of ALIAS. Now where is that picture?

The fact that President Bush is into mountainbiking is a good thing and he can be a powerful friend to the sport. Hopefully that can foster more pressure to have additional trails opened to riders. In my experience, I've noticed mountainbikers are good conservationists and "pack-out" lots of garbage and debris found on the trails left by dayhikers.

A riding buddy of mine took a job in the White House just as George W. took office. He is a leftward leaning liberal and was roasted by his colleagues for taking a job with the enemy. He was prepared not to like George Bush. It turns out that he likes him very much. On the other hand, the White House staff despised the Clintons who had just vacated. You had to avert your eyes in the presence of Hillary or you were in trouble. I asked him if he called the President, George, and he said, "Oh no, you call him Mr. President."

You men are such bike hoes!
But seriously, have any of you seen that bike ed video that the LAB produced? It's not bad (but I guess only a true bike lover would find it entertaining). But anyway, can you imagine the response if say Leonardo Di Caprio and Madonna (or any other popular celebrities) produced such a program and aired it on prime time TV?! IMHO, such a show would send bike commuting over the moon in this country - especially if the show aired more than once with different celebrities each time. Ha! (now that I'm on a roll) Imagine an adult version with Robin Williams and George Carlin adding their snide senses of humor to bike commuting...

Let's not forget Talking Heads lead singer, David Byrne...
He's got a new book about bicycling out.
