Notches

The hollywood movie versions of American gunfighters of the Old West sometimes put notches in their gun handles to count the men they had killed.

For me, it's about time to put another notch in my belt. My pants are starting to slip a little! ;)

Moonlight, oh, moonlight!

Why not file a notch in your seatpost for every century, or big mountain pass you ride ?

(Irony Alert!! Notching your seatpost can casue structural failure)

Thanks to all the ideas and encouragement from BF members to get me started commuting, I have noticed the same problem. I told my wife it would be terrible if I had to buy a new belt. :D

I don't think I am ready to start filing notches on any parts of my beloved bikes! However, I too have been putting new holes in my belts! I but on a belt I had not worn in a while, and when I went to the last hole (which previously had never been used!) I found that it was too loose! So I got out my leather punch, and made a new hole, spaced like the others. It was also too loose! So I made another hole, and finally another one before the belt would finally hold my pants up! Kinda nice having a belt that is functional instead of just a clothing accessory!

Listen. I am just plain PO'd!

I had to CUT the end off of my belt, and it STILL WON'T FIT!

Perhaps the title of this thread should have been (ahem) "Buenas Notches"?
