Performance Standard Shipping SUCKS!!

Ok I guess I should have searched the forum before taking the standard shipping from Performance. Normally I always select 2 day upgrade. Well On April 5th I placed an order and thought I would take the standard shipping just to see how long it took vs the 2 day. Holy Crap this is absurd.

Here is what my shipping shows. The best part is it was freaking mis-shipped to a town 50 miles from where I live.

God only knows when I will see this stuff. After looking into this a FYI, for anyone that doesn't know they use was called Fedex Smartpost generally I always use fedex and love their service but this thing is a joke. Moral of the story for me is ALWAYS GO 2day from now on. If I plan to use performance much in the future I may go ahead and get the club membership for the free shipping upgrade.

If you make more than one or two purchases a year from Performance, getting the team membership is pretty much a no-brainer. I never use the standard shipping from either Performance or Nashbar unless I really don't care when I am going to receive the stuff.

I have heard about the slow shipping from Performance. I had a gift coupon for $52. (Long Story) and purchased a few items. I placed the order Sat April 7th late in the day and received the stuff April 13th in the morning in New York. 7 days is not bad, using their standing shipping, considering the order was placed on the weekend and went out on a Monday.

Only one of the reasons why I switched to better companies like PricePoint. The customer service (or lack of) at Performance Bike has kept me from buying from them for a year now.

Fedex Smartpost is terrible. I used to marvel at how fast LL Bean could get an order into my hands - several years. They now use Fedex Smartpost, and all I marvel at now is that I get it at all.

Smartpost ships Fedex, by the way, but Fedex is supposed to eventually drop it at the post office in your home town. Sometimes, it actually happens.

They're offering free shipping this week through Monday. I've never had problems with either.
