Measured for a new bike, is it worth it

Ok it is me again and I have decided which bike I like now deciding on which lbs to buy from (bewteen 2). Each are great according to friends etc BUT one offers lifetime adjustments the other a year. The one with lifetime adjustments says they do a measurement process to ensure a good fit that takes about an hour or so. The other bike store says that they can fit us BUT the 1 hour fit (cost 125) is scam unless you are a serious rider. So is the Free fit really a scam (to get me to buy) for me a casual recreational rider or should a I really get fitted correctly with the free $125 fitting?

Reread you post and the answer is obvious.

Free lifetime adjustments & free fitting or free one year adjustments & $125 fit and a line of bull.

Would you buy shoes that don't fit? :)
