Hirondelle Manufrance???

I picked up a pretty cool looking bike recently at a yard sale. it is a Hirondelle Manufrance. I have tried to research this brand but am coming up pretty much empty. from what i have gathered, the company manufactured bikes in the early part of the century (although this bike doesnt look all that old), but has since been taken over by St. Etienne.

Does anyone know any more about it. Is it worth hanging on to? I bought it with the intention of converting it into a single speed.

Thanks in advance.

Classic and Vintage might be more help then General Discussion, but:

Hirondelles are neat bikes, assuming yours still has retrodirect gearing. i really wouldn't convert it into a singlespeed.
