And it's off!!!!!

HAHA!!!!! I'm just wondering how many of you guys out there thought I meant my top? mmmmm................******************************

I just have to tell everyone!!!!
After four long weeks of agony. My (no longer broken) right hand was set free from the awful cast yesterday! I now have my hand back!
Except I got a horrible tan line now and it's still tender, but it's not in a cast! YIPEE!!!!!

BTW I hate those saws that they use to cut the cast off. I thought for sure the Doc. would slice my hand open!

aaaaaaaaaaalright!!! Had one on my foot for 8 weeks when I was 15. SUCKS! When they took it off with that awful saw, they said 'don't shave and wear only sneakers for at least a week'. So I went home, shaved, and put on some heeled sandals

Thanks Nat!

Man! I fall with heels on now! I would probably end up breaking my neck if I put them on after I got a cast off!

Great news! :fun:

Just make sure you take it easy for a few weeks so you don't end up re-injuring yourself, and putting yourself back in that cast!

Congrats!

Oh yeah baby!!! I am so excited for the ride!!!

I have never ridden in a big pack of riders so this will be a great experience. I've got my donations and hopefully I'll make the 75 miles that I planned.

The Dr. said to just wrap my hand snug for the ride and not to fall.
If only he knew how clumsy I really am!

Sounds fun, should be nice weather. Riding 75 miles in a group is like riding 40 solo, you should be fine. I wish i could make it to the ride, I love the area you will be riding.

Does the cast off mean more horses, less bikes?

I wish more horses! My competition season is shot because of this stupid break!!
The Dr. actually would have liked to put the cast back on. Apparently it's only about 65% healed. He said though if I'm really careful and don't ride my horse then I'm good!
But it looks gross!!!

Horses??!!

Ok, princess! I KNEW you were spoiled!

I love to ride myself, but I can't stand cantoring- all that up-down-up-down sucks. I cannot get into the rhythym of the horses. I do like full on galloping- I could do it for hours!

Too bad about the horse season- is that how you broke your hand to begin with?

Good luck with the MS 150. I'd love to do it myself, but I just don't know anyone I'd like to do it with. Maybe I can sneak over to your parts next year....

Yep! Koffee I hate to admit it but I believe I am spoiled! But in my defense I do work extremely hard for what I've got.

You should definately come my way next year for the MS150. You, me and Joe could make up a BF Team for the ride!

You could come horse back riding too!

Bow to the Princess!!!

Hey Tilly

They say when a cast comes off an arm, it feels really, really light and it can have the effect of making you feel nauseous. Did that happen?

Anyway, good news. Watch yourself, though, if it's only 65% healed. A lady at work here fell off one of her horses about four months ago. The break was in the wrist. The break did not heal well, and she said the doctors were thinking of "breaking the bone again" and inserting a plate. Another couple of months in a cast apparently.

And no, I didn't think you'd taken off your top... I thought it might have been a long tour, a race, or somesuch (that's my story and I'm sticking to it).
