Is there a cheat sheet for all the acronyms?
I've run accross several terms that are new to me and was hoping there's a list of the common slang and acronyms used here. I did a search but couldn't find anything. Any help?

If you mean Internet acronymns like OTOH, YMMV, IMHO, etc., this is a good resource https://www.gaarde.org/acronyms/. For the cycling specific ones like MUP, etc., I think you just have to figure them out from context or ask in the post.

I'm not a complete neophyte to the interweb! 
Of course I know the universal stuff like LOL, BRB, AFAIK, etc. However, as aadhils said, there are some cycling-specific ones here.
I figured out LBS is local bike shop
I'm guessing from context that the "AM" is JAM is angry motorist.
Anyway, a list of the acronyms used mostly on this BB would be great. If there isn't one, maybe we could get one started.

"Fred" predates the internet by at least 20 years. I've never heard anybody claim to know its origin, but it used to mean a rookie road racer who made predictable mistakes and generally endangered the pack.
On this forum, it has come to mean someone who makes fashion faux pas, presumably because they're new and don't know any better.

A Fred can also mean a old geezer commuter who doesn't dress right and has an older beater bike and will embarrass anyone who tries to keep up with him because he puts on more miles than you could imagine just getting to work and back.

A Fred is a cyclist who chooses not to wear full cycling kit or to ride a high end bicycle. A Fred is one who rides a hybrid or 1980s road bicycle while wearing regular shorts and a T-shirt. But a Fred might be a very strong cyclist who will blow away a poseur.

The first Fred is Fred A. Birchmore.

Fred is in his late 90's lives in Athens, Georgia and is the first person to cycle around the world. He did so in 1935 on a single speed Reinhardt.
His escapades are legendary. While in Italy, heading up a mountain he noticed he everyone on a bike he passed had a number on their back. When he reached the town at the top, a crowd rushed out to greet him, he had won the race.
The cover shot of his book he is posing with one of the anacondas he killed for food, later selling the skins, while crossing the sub continent.
He also built a stone wall that is now know as the Great Wall of Athens (in the background of his portrait), by hauling granite blocks (scraps from the mortuary industry) from quarries in north Georgia in the trunk of his car.
An extremely nice man, Fred is the true Fred, and had ridden anyone who tried to keep up with him into the ground.

By the way, the term Fred has only recently been applied - inaccurately - to either riders who spend too much on gear (poseurs) or newbie racers (wannabees, a subset of poseurs). In the late 70s and early 80s, it was always used as a derogatory term for nonracers and utilitarian cyclists.
