Not a good year so far... but I'm back

This hasn't been a good year for me so far, work pressures kept me from commuting and spending time here, then I get a non-bike related knee injury that completely finished biking for a while. Things started picking up with a few good rides, then one weeek before I was supposed to be doing the London to Brighton my frame cracked...

But I now have a shiny new frame (must re draw my icon in blue and white) courtesy of Giant and am riding again!

So what have I missed?

Richard

Dude, too much! Glad to have you back though! Sounds like your life has been pretty hectic. Bad knee, broken frame....etc. The good thing is you're up and riding again!

Richard,

welcome back.

Ok, here it is:

Some new folks joined
Some old folks left
A few got banned
we discussed bikes, argued religion and the
damnation of SUVs
some folks talked about rides and riding bikes
Lance is a hot topic as is Cipo, one is riding in france
one is not.
there are a few new forums

Uhm, I think that about sums it up.
Hope the knee is doing better and again, welcome
back

Marty

And what about frames: steel, aluminum, carbon or titanium?

Welcome back Richard.

You'll be surprised to know that we also discussed helmet wearing in your absence.

Thanks folks

So did you decide on whether bike paths were a good idea or not whilst I was gone?

Well, my view hasn't changed. And I'm still at odds with just about everyone else on that one, so no, I'd say we didn't decide that either.

Thanks Ron

The commuting book forum sounds interesting if I get the time, I wonder whether Joe would accept a slightly senile bad tempered cat instead ?

As for the politics forum I'm sure this place needs someone who's got the right answers to the worlds problems but I'm struggling to keep up with the cycling stuff at the moment

While you were gone we had an extended discussion about the evils of wearing underwear under bike shorts. A few rebellious newbies insisted that it was o.k. to wear whitey-tighties, but we convinced them otherwise.

Welcome back!

... And a few with over 5,000 posts and 100,000km of riding who are just as rebellious.
