Have you used 28" SKS mudguards on 26" wheels?
I have the SKS mudguards, the ones which cover most of the wheel, on a few of my 28" wheel bikes. I have a tandem now with 26" wheels, and I want to use the same kind of SKS fenders. Can you tell me from personal experience if these will fit?
I ask because SKS mountain bike mudguards don't cover enough area for my taste, and I want to use the full coverage ones.

Excellent! It's even a German website which means local delivery for me. Thanks Ziemas! By the way, did your wife like Frankfurt?
