Mt. Ventoux
Bike Forum probably has some new members, due to the unexpected closing down of another forum called Bicycle Forum.
Anyway, on that forum I asked advice about climbing Mt. Ventoux. August, I sucessfully climbed it. Reaching the top was euphoric. From East not a bad climb at all. Well, a member from the Netherlands, I believe- was great. He sent me a link about Mt. Ventoux, giving background and a graph showing its relief. Should that person be subscribed to this forum, could he please re-send that link on Mt. Ventoux. I did not print it out or place it in memory. Bike Forum- thanks for taking us on. |
Chris L is pleased that you enjoyed Mt. Ventoux. This is a climb that Chris L would like to try one day (when Chris L gets some money).

I also climbed Mont Ventoux this summer, but from the South side (from Bedoin). It was pretty hard (one of the hardest climbs i have done) with a fully loaded (20kg) touring bike, but very nice after Chalet Reynard.
I have a couple of bookmarks to pages that contain information about Mont Ventoux that could be of interest: http://www.geocities.com/Yosemite/Rapids/3892/ http://members.home.nl/eurocols/cols/ventoux.htm /Csson |
That would be me!
First of all, congratulations! I will make my first try in about two years, after I move there and get some hills under my belt. Here are my Ventoux links: http://www.geocities.com/Yosemite/Rapids/3892/ http://www.alexpages.net/ http://www.gsoto.easynet.co.uk/fr_ride7a.htm And finally, the chart itself, on my Web site http://www.masong4.demon.nl/images/VentouxChart.jpg Cheers...Gary |
