Crank Brothers Quattro Vs Candy C

I would like to purchase a pair of Crank Brothers "Candy C" clipless pedals, but I'm a little skeptical because these pedals are classified as MTB pedals. Would there be an issue if use on a road bike?

The only physical diffrence I see is the platform on the "Candies" are smaller than the Quattro's and I'm not sure if that diffrence will have any effect on peddling on a road bike.

With the price of $49.00 for the candies on sale now at Performance, I think this is a good deal for a set of clipless. Since I have Crank Brothers "Quattros" on my other bike, I have already adjusted to clipping in and out of this type pedal. So the only thing stopping me from buying at the moment is not knowing if there is an issue by putting a pedal classified as a MTB pedal on road bike.

Anyone with ideas on this? :)

Lots of riders using the Candies / Eggs / Mallets on more "road" specific bikes. Last count I had 7 pairs of Crank Brother pedals on bike randing from Touring to Fixed to Casual to Track to MTB.

Don't the Quattros force you to use a roadie shoe?
