radio report
 

Hi all !

I was up a little sooner this morning for my morning commute,
and decided to listen to some radio.
So I tuned in to my local radio station (radio Newcastle 94.5 f m )
and was pleasently surprised when amongst all the usual motorised traffic reports . the ting-a-ling of a cycle bell announced a report for CYCLISTS.
Heck it was only five minutes out of all the time given over to traffic reports but at least it was recognising that there are people out there cycling to work.

The information was mostly relivent to commuters in the city environs (not much use to me) on areas to aviod ,re-surfacing, dangerous potholes etc.

So hats off and congrats to the guys at radio Newcastle for this small contribution to cyclists and (as the actress said to the Bishop) every little bit helps!

By the way .dunno if I am the first to know of local radio staion giving a cycle report maybe you guys/gals have a similar anouncement in your localities.

I am really chuffed Fubar , its made my day ,cycling in this morning it felt really good thinking that people from the media were taking notice of us poor cycle commuters.
