the problem is hard to describe. i think pics might work better.

something like below would work, as the holes where the bolt goes through are parallel to one another...but they're sold out.

the prob is that, with the one directly above, while i can find it in the right size, i'm not sure if the "holes" are threaded, which would mess up the threads on the pitlock.

something like the pic below will not work because the areas where the bolt goes are not "parallel" to one another, which would cause the pitlock bolt to bend as a result of the curvature of the clamp.

maybe i should just buy the second one and hope that the threads won't be a problem...?

oh man, i just saw that pitlock sells seat clamps too! problem solved.
