VP components pedals.

I'm looking for inexpensive pedals for my (short) commuter / utility bike. I like the old platform BMX style pedals and VP pedals seem to have a few attractive models (beartrap, platform) at a reasonable price. Anyone have any experience with them? Are they crap, or good bang for buck?

I don't want to put junk on the bike, but also don't want to create something that will be the apple of a thieve's eye...

I have a pair of VP 566 platforms with 1200 + miles on them. I would buy another pair if I could find them.
