Kona 2008 bikes now online!

It looks like the colours, specs and MSRPs of the 2008s are up on the official site now.
They're still calling it a beta preview though, so some minor details might change.

Me likes the Ute. Don't know where I'd put it though.

Been looking at a Sutra, but I don't like how they've changed them to barcon shifters.

What's the ETA on the 2008 models? I have had my eye on a Jake for a while now. The Tiagra upgrade may be just enough to get me to buy one.

Why not? It's a touring bike. I like my barcons, and now that they've changed from STI, I'll buy a Sutra for sure

Edit: And it's cheaper by about $300 this year too!

i wish they'd go back to their old format where i could see an icon of each bike. it's much faster to search that way. and that steel bike is wild! i wonder if the fork is carbon or steel.

The 2008 Dr Dew is very, very similar to the 2007. I think the only change is the brakes to Shimano from Hayes.

If you go into the commuting forum and look at the bike pics (2nd to last page), I've got a pic of my 2008 Dr Dew.

Sutra is way different this year. Definately more of a fully loaded tourer. Before it seemed more of a sport tourer, what with the STI and such. I wonder what racks those are? If they're of good quality, that MSRP is a prety good deal. I think that is some areas they dropped to Tiagra/ deore level where it used to be 105, though I'm far too lazy to check.

They still haven't fixed the issue with the horrible mounting of the rack and the problem of the braze-ons cracking off.

- Disgruntled Sutra owner.
