Painting a Trek 520
Hi. With this forum's help, I just purchases a used Trek 520 and would like to put on a new paint job on it. There are some spots where the paint has worn and there is a little bit of rust. I would like to paint it black, I'm a college student, and this is my main ride, so a fast and less expensive route would be best. Thank you very much.

Satin black is your friend. The smoother you make the surface, the better it will look. I've got three bikes with satin black rattle can paint jobs. They don't rival a factory finish, but they don't scream "DYI paint job" either.
