How do you clean grease off clothing (jersies, gloves)?
Hi,
I had a road mishap today (long story) and have grease all over my gloves, jersey, bike and skin. The last two are easy to clean off but how do I get stuff off my jersey and gloves? I am most worried about the jersey because it's that thin athletic material so I can't rub too vigorously (fearing it'll tear) and it's expensive so I don't want to ruin it. Any help would be appreciated. |
This may not be the answer you want to hear, but that's why bike shorts are usually black.
Pretreating the jersy in Dawn dishwashing liquid may help. It's a pretty good grease cutter. This has worked for me in the past. |
It probably won't come out completely. Sorry. Wear it as a badge of honor.

Thanks for the tips, fellas. I know about the black shorts theory. I am not concerned about the grease on my shorts, but I got it all over my new jersey and that's not cool. It's red, unfortunately. I'll check out the Goop tomorrow, when I go pickup a new tire.
