Polar Water Bottle Fooch
 

During my daily fill of water bottle before a ride I decided to take the center out of the cap of my polar water bottle and OH MY GOD IT WAS GROWING FUR on it's own. Keep in mind these are the same water bottles I have had for years, many years (one of the tips is green color if that tells you anything) and although these are washed in the dishwasher on regular intervals never thought to disassemble the beasts.

I soaked them in hydrogen peroxide and watched it foam away the offensive goo then scrubbed them with a retired toothbrush saved for just such an occasion.

So if you want a real treat and use Polar bottles remove the spout from the cap for a real treat! :eek:

I run a little diluted bleach thru mine occasionally for valve cleansing.

The urethane drinking valve is removable for cleaning as well.
