Saw this at the top of the page when I signed in tonight:

Active Users: 69 Total (41 Users and 28 guests) - Most users ever online was 3096 on 08-08-03

3096 users on at one time today?!

i though it was 400.....

Must be a glitch?

400 to 3096? That's quite a jump. I'd say it might be a glitch of some kind, but I honestly don't know. Was anyone actually on-line when that happened?

3096 is quite impressive, especially considering that that is nearly half of the membership. I know the place has grown a bit in my absence, but this is more than I was expecting. :p

The busiest forums don't even have numbers that high...in fact, VB isn't able to support that many active users at once without some HEAVY modification (and even then I think it's not possible :D)

Hey, look now! Maybe we ARE all that- or maybe it was that work Joe did to get the bikeforums link onto other websites.

I'd be expecting more numbers like this one in the future, due to the bicyclebid.

wow, I'm doing my part.

I run another board that uses vBulletin like this one. When you get user numbers like that it is likely search engine software spiders, or the CIA! ;)
