HHH Photographers

Anyone (who didn't throw away the information in the registration packet) know what company was out there taking pictures? I'm pretty sure there was a website - and I thought I'd remember it, but after the ride (my first metric), I didn't remember much of anything at all. I thought it was something like Marathon Photographers or something.... Thanks!

It will come in the mail.....they shoot your number in the photo (you did put the number on the front of the helmet like they told you?) and mail / email you the great opportunity to buy.

Looks like Marathon Photo is the one you're thinking of. They did the photography for the Houston-Austin MS-150 that I rode earlier this year. Don't forget to look through the full archive of pictures from the event: they try to match pictures to riders via bib number, but there's always a bunch of pictures where they can't quite make it out. When looking through the MS-150 pictures I found two of me that were better than the one they matched to my number.

Nope - just on the front of my bike. I looked at the stickers, at my helmet and decided the vent holes were more important than the sticker! But, my bike number was pretty visible the whole ride.

Thanks, Grendel - I thought it was Marathon, just couldn't find it. I tried marathonphoto.com and wound up at marathonguide.com. Didn't try foto....

I don't think the pictures are up yet, it will probably be a week
or so till they are posted.
I kept seeing the same photog throughout my ride, I swear
he caught me at least 3 times.

Last year I was proud of my accomplishment. I looked forward to getting my photos. When they finally sent me the proofs, they were of 2 different guys. During the ride, both times I saw the photographers I slowed so I wan't obstructed by someone else and smiled. I had numbers on the front of my bike and my helmet. With that many ridders, they are bound to miss something.

Oh well I have the memory of it and the pin.

Scubagirl,

Did you do the ride this year?

I know I was seen by the photographer at least 3 times
last year, and only 1 pic posted, it was ok, nothing special.

Haven't seen the pictures this year, but I got "shot" at 3 times
out on the road and then at the finish. If I get any pics worth
posting I'll put it in the "who are you" thread.

Toothpick,

I was referring to the "official" HHH photos by Marathon
photo. I didn't take any pictures, I was dying like an animal
(to quote Bobke) and didn't have time, nor strength to
press the shutter button .

Oh, c'mon. I know you took my pic. I'm the one with the red jersey. Surely you saw me. Actually, I found my pic and wanted to post it (or at least attempt it) if there's an appropriate thread. Thanks much.
