Injured
Well, I got myself hurt pretty badly. Friday night I crashed at the velodrome during the national championships. It was the scratch race, and a woman touched wheels and went down. She slid right in front of me, and I had nowhere to go.
I went over my handlebars and landed on my face. I got an ambulance ride to the hospital where 8 hours in the ER found me w/ a fractured collar bone, 3 loose teeth, 19 stiches in my face and mouth, and a big black and blue calf + road rash.
Hey, at least it's the end of the season! I am beginning to improve now, although I'm going to miss some school (begins tomorrow). Well, I just wanted to let you guys know what's going on (it takes a long time to type with 1 hand).
Talk to you soon,
velo

Dang... it's good to see you in good spirits despite the fall! I hope you heal up quickly and if you need anything, let me know.
Did you have a hand injury too?
Glad to hear you're gonna be ok. Take care.

Ow! Hope you feel better soon. Looks like you ought to recover, and what a story you'll have to tell when you do get back to school. How's the woman who went down in front of you?

Ouch! I went endow and broke my collarbone in July, same day Tyler Hamilton did. Most painful part was the 5 weeks I was off my bike. (Although the first few days after the accident were very painful too)

To those who asked:
I didn't hurt my hand; my arm is in a sling, that's why I have 1 hand to type.
The woman who crashed in front of me is okay. She got back in the race when it resumed.

Too bad about your crash. You do sound indomitable though and that is good - takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'!
