True confessions
For the past month, I HAVE NOT BICYCLED AT ALL!!!!!
 Help, I am spiralling into the abyss!!! AIEEEEeeeeee!!!!!!..... (Let this also serve as my disclaimer for the insanity of recent posts...) |
Seven days without riding makes one weak, but a whole month is serious!:( I assume it's because of the injury from the attack? But I thought you mainly got a facial (keep a stiff upper lip, old chap)? Why can't you ride? Is your bike in the hospital too? Get well soon.

Take heart, Pete, you will know when it is time to get back in the saddle! Hope for your sake it is soon!
After my knee injury, and while I was on the pain medication (:D ) I forced myself to stay off the bike for four days. When I finally started riding, it was very simple, easy rides. This last weekend, I did a little ride of 30 miles, and it was great! With a little luck, on Wednesday, the doc will let me start working hills again so I can start getting some miles in! And, like I always say, when the chips are down, the buffalo is empty! :D |

Yeah, keep going. Focus on just how good it's going to be to be back. Well, once your butt has retoughened, and stuff! ;)

Heck Pete, I got you beat by 2 weeks man.

Pete, I hope you've stopped carbo loading or getting back will be harder!
Hang in there pal, this too will pass. |
:( Since going back to school, we have been averaging a 25 mile ride once a week! WHAAAAAAA! :(

originally posted by Pete Clark on June 22 I must be sick! I'm sitting here rubbing my legs under the spandex, feeling every smooth, sculpted ridge and crevass like a teenager gawks at the 442 cubic inch V8 engine under the hood of his Oldsmobile (now I'm dating myself.) These are "my" cycling legs, keep your hands off! (My wife secretly loves them, too!) What will your wife think? Will she still respect you? :D What will your co-workers think? The cycling world is depending on you!! Seriously, I hope you'll be back in the saddle very soon. |
A whole weak without cycling? UGH!.
Just thinking about it is an ordeal!  |
Pete, I hope you've done something useful with your time off the saddle...like read a book or two. Didn't you say that your wife is a librarian?
I hope you can get back to cycling soon. |
