I posted a question, but then erased it when I noticed that you could actually sell here -- in the marketplace. I need a free ad, though. I've been steered toward Craigslist. Hell, I'm just trying to practiacally give away th brand new Trek 7.5 FX hybrid (ridden once) my bro-in-law bought for his wife, as a favor for him giving me the one he bought for himself (they didn't want them, and I turned his into a cross bike), so it doesn't go completely to waste. I don't really want to use eBay, b/c I don't sell on it now and don't want to create an account and all that jazz. Shipping might be an issue to (how much do you charge on eBay, etc.). Something more informal is better for me. Craigslist looks to be the place. I'm trying to sell it for around $550-$600 (i saw a used on on eBay for $700). I'd really love to unload it for around $400 without the wheels, so I can have two exact sets of wheels for mine (one road, one cross) for easy switching out. I know I love the one I'm using, but does anyone know much about these bikes themselves? Think I'm asking too much for a brand new, mint, bike? How much value do they lose "off the lot"?

Check craigslist in your area and see what similar products go for. Maybe you will get abetter price in the spring.
