Disc brake and internal hub question

I have a Redline monocog that I purchased in 05. It has been a daily commuter however both V (or center pull?) brakes are now destroyed, rendering the bike inoperable. I would like to add an internal hub with coaster brake to it as well as a front disc brake. I would appreciate a cheap, reliable disc brake recommendation for the front. The bike was a singlespeed and only has one set of eyelets for cable from the rear. Will this cause issues with the internal hub? Can I braze on extra eyelets? Tia

Define cheap. Avid BB7's are considered the benchmark of mechanicals and you should be able to find a complete caliper/rotor setup new on the web for $75. Lower-end calipers with only one pad adjustment will be cheaper, plus you can always do Craigslist or check any local co-ops.

Cable guides aren't really necessary for internal hub shifters. I converted my 1x1 to a Nexus hub,and my Swobo came stock without shifter cable guides. Use fully-cased cable, make sure the routing is smooth, and ziptie it in several places and you'll be fine.

Thanks, that is almost exactly what I hope mine will look like (except a flat green on the Redline)! Cheap is relative to disc brake so 75 sounds good to me. I will see if I can find some. Thanks again!
