Technically speaking, either way is acceptable. Check your grammar sources if you need additional clarification.

All right... to prevent this from degenerating any further, I'll lock the thread. I think we all get the point by now, right?

spelling rant, part 2

I'm not trying to stir up more bile, but that thread reminded me of a blurb that came with an ancient public domain spell checker, I thought others might enjoy.

USER BEE WEAR!!!

A soft wear package witch checks spelling is no mower than a weigh to
verify. That the weird, as it appears inn the taxed is also in the
stored file. It can knot correct arrows in punctuation ore usage:
and it will not fined words witch are mis-used butt spelled rite.
Four example, this paragraph wood bee past by most such programs,
even though it has mini flaws. Their fore, the message is that
proof-reading is knot eliminated by using such a package, and is
berry much reek wired.

P.S. If you don't speak English as your primary language, your homework is to decipher and translate into proper English, using the correct words and spelling. ;)

The above post qualifies as the funniest post I have read all week. However, it won't pass a spell-check.
