Car rack to hold upright trike on the back
I have an old upright adult trike that weighs about 65 lbs. I am going to start taking it to many of the places I go with my two wheel bikes, so I can bring the dog easily. I have a good quality, four bike, bike rack that will handle the weight. But I think I may get a trailer hitch type rack and modify it, or make my own from scratch. I want to roll the trike up on a rack, not lift the 60 lbs in the air. I could winch the trike up in the air with a winch. I don't want to lift the entire weight of the trike, I have a bad back. I could lift part of it at one time, but I know I can build a roll on rack from scratch.
No need for me to be done making it untill about May. So..........in the meantime, what do you have to suggest?
This is going on a small economy car. A Corolla.

I always put my daughter's trike on the roof. It can't fit on the rack with the other bikes.

There should be quite a few options ranging from a hitch receiver mounted platform to the hydraulic racks I have seen for carrying mobility scooters. A folding hitch platform with pullout ramps would seem like a good compromise. Searches for "hitch platform" and "scooter carrier" may give you some ideas.

I've seen a few attachments for those motorized wheel chairs that may work. Most I've seen allow you to use a ramp or raise like a lift gate.
