Icebreaker Merino Wool sizing help

I want to buy some Icebreaker products such as a tank top and short sleeve shirt. How does the sizing run, and more specifically, how well does the material stretch? My chest is 111 cm and I am normally a large. But it says their large is 106.5 cm, and the XL is 111.5. I don't mind if it is snug, but will I be stretching it too much?

Can't offer detailed help, as I'm a small 37.5 inch- however, their sizing (38 inch) for a small, slim-fit, 150 weight shirt is spot on for me- not snug but no extra fabric, and it will stretch a bit. I guess that you'll have a snug-but-comfy fit with the L or a similar fit to mine with the XL (I'm assuming you're male, but I did get confused because the US distributor doesn't offer a men's tank...)

By the way, the stuff is worth every penny- I've been basically living in mine since I got them.

Which stuff do you have? I got the tank top and the crew t-shirt. I'm a guy, btw.

Atlas long- and short-sleeve shirts, 150 weight, orange. The LS and an Outdoor Research windshirt has been enough for 25degF, maybe with an extra cotton t-shirt as well. Been using one almost daily for ~1.5 months, haven't had to wash it yet- I'm not a stinky-type guy to start with but even so I'm impressed. Probably a different story once the warm weather hits, summer here can be 80-100degF for weeks. Haven't tried the warm-weather wool thing yet, so I'll probably wait to see before buying any more...

Well, my shirts cam two days after I ordered them. That was fast.

I got size XL for the Crewe short sleeve and for the Tank Top as well.

The Crewe is perfect fit, just like a t-shirt should be. But I wish I had got the tank top one size smaller so that it would be tighter and hug a little firmer.

Hey Mike, will it shrink just a tiny bit? I have a washing machine, but no drier.

Umm- I don't know yet. I was going to use the hand wash & flat dry, but haven't gotten around to it... will they take an exchange on the tank?

I'm a medium/large usually. I have one Icebreaker shirt (long sleeve) in a large. It's a bit big, but not overly so. It seemed to shrink a bit in the wash, which helped. A quick measurement says that my chest is about 104-106cm

I have a similar shirt from Smartwool in medium, and it's more form-fitting that way.
