Shimano "brifters"

I got this off an old guy that collects scrap metal. He was dumpster diving and I took a peek into the back off his pick-up.I found this and offered to buy him a coffee for it.Done.
It's Shimano RSX brifters on Hsing Lung alloy bars w/ML Corp alloy stem. Are they any good?Any idea of their value?I may pass them along.Road bikes aren't my thing.

All trades considered

If they shift ok then they will work with a compatible 7 or 8 speed set up.. traded for a coffee is a good deal
