Anyone smell spring yet?
Amazingly, we did today in the UK. Went out to Manchester, and no coats, sun out. Praise the Lord. I've been out on my new road bike this evening and watched the sun go down over the big rail junction near us. Beeeautiful.
It won;t last, I'm sure. But I seem to remember it was the end of feb last year before we had even the first sniff.

Today it is -27C (-19F) and there is another inch of snow forecast to add to the 2-3 inches that drifted everywhere yesterday.
So no, I don't smell Spring yet. Could be due to this stinking cold I have I suppose.

Nope not yet
the last couple of days havent been too bad(upper 30s lower 40s), but the next 48 hours we are going under a wind chill warning with wind chills of -25 to -35 degrees Fahrenheit. Actual temperatures should be around zero
Whooo hoooo.

Last weekend I could smell it; did three hours of riding. It then snowed about 8 inches or so, and it's snowing again. But I know it's coming.

Heck there's 3 weeks still left in Feb and the deep freeze hasn't come yet I still expecting about a week of -40. Be April before the snow really melts here.

For sure . The Mimosa are blooming. Vintners are already pruing the grapes. Getting ready for Spring. We do hope there will be no late spring freeze. They grow lots of cherries here. Cherries are tender. We lost last years crop because of a late freeze. Winter here is pretty much over by mid March at the latest. In some of my rides, I swear I have smelled some kind of flowering plant.

If -25C with a windchill factor of -29C is what spring smells like, then ..... sure.

Nice sunny day today, 55 or so, but we've got a foot of snow in the yard and at least two months to go before spring. Down in Reno, though (about 600 feet lower), it's spring for a few days. We were going to drive into town and go for a ride along the river, but I couldn't get my 2WD pickup down the driveway.

Went out for a ride yesterday, beautiful cool and sunny. Got up this morning and looked outside, beautiful calm and cool. So I got dressed and headed out into a snow storm. Spring can't get here fast enough for me.

Here in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia, the cardinals and titmice have changed over to their springtime tunes. The grackles are trickling back in little flocks. Orion is high and mighty at 8 PM. My daffodils are sprouting forth. I've planted my first crop of parsley, spinnich, and chard; just in case. And, yes, I caught first whiff of some tree's pollen.

The alyssums along the SART are in bloom, so yeah, spring's in the air here. It was a gorgeous day for a ride, and the alyssum is definitely an improvement over the horsey stench on SGRT.

Heck no. Tis a bit early even for Denver. We still have our snowiest month ahead.
Plus, all of last weeks commutes were pretty cold for poor little old me.
I am heading out tomorrow to track down a pair of clearance gore tex hiking boots to keep my feet warmer for the next couple months.

In spades - Richmond was sunny and mid-50's today. I was counting on a slow day where I work (Honda motorcycle shop), but we were absolutely swamped. Got home, grabbed the Bianchi Nyala and did 22 miles before dark set in.

One piece to add.
It's not spring until my tree pollen allergies turn my eyes a bright red, I sneeze constantly, develop a headache the size of Texas, and take enough allergy meds to knock out a horse.
Personally, I can do without the first few weeks of spring. I would rather either ride in a foot of snow each day or even better go into a 3 week coma and skip the beginning of spring.

Should be able to get my first decent ride in since October. Ever since then I have been either washed off the bike- Frozen stiff or blown away---Or all three at the same time. Temp of about 40 degreesF today and a wind strength below 10mph.

We really haven't had winter yet. Just 4 days with lows below 35 so far.
