Devinci hybrid: steel or alu fork?

I am currrently thinking of buying a Devinci 2003 hybrid bike. I've narrowed my choice to two bikes, either the Amsterdam or the Monaco. The latter has higher end components (XT vs Deore rear der./ISIS vs square-tapered BB to mention these), an alu frame made out of Worth tubing and an alu fork.

The Amsterdam is a good, affordable bike with a more current alu frame and bears a steel fork which I believe would give me a smoother ride overall. I think the alu frame/alu fork would give a harsher ride than the alu frame/steel fork. If anyone have ridden those bikes, I would appreciate your opinion. Thank you in advance.
