Women specific saddles
Ladies, what ya got and how do you like it? Trying to find something for my GF (road bike), and I value the female BF members opinions more than the LBS. So whats up ???

Based upon my experience with this- let her choose.
It will take three or four different seats;
however once she gets the seat just right, riding will be great- for both of you.

Yea, she complains a lot.. Not because she is a complainer, just because it really hurts her. I just want both of us to have fun

I'm in the same boat--wife complains about the seat on my bike. Not that I like the seat either... I'd be tempted to buy one, but it's really like shoes in the end--you gotta try it out.

I'm a big Brooks fan and Cheri liked them too...until I got her a new road bike and pinked it out - including a Terry Butterfly. Now she has a Terry Butterfly (1 black, 2 pink) on all of her bikes.

My favourite is the saddle which came stock with my Dolce Elite. I've gone to the trouble of getting three or four of them for my favourite bikes. If you can find the leather version which came with the 2004 model...
Saddles are highly individual, but I can tell you that every woman I know who has one of the saddles from the Elite WILL NOT PART WITH IT.
I've tried .

You're tempting my snappy, off-color one-liners again!

Saddles are a very personal and frequently difficult choice. I would start with getting her something from Terry. If she doesn't like it they have a great, 30 days-no-questions-asked return policy. She can try one, return it, try another one, and so on. Performance also has a good exchange policy, as does Koobi. There are probably others, these are just the ones I know. Another way to do it is to ask your LBS about their exchange policies. If they have a good one, get a saddle from them and let her change it if she doesn't like it. The key is to be able to return/exchange if it doesn't work for her.
BTW, I am currently riding a Koobi Tri saddle, which is working well after trying about 6 other saddles.

Oh, go ahead . But only if you've got an extra Dolce Elite saddle around the house. Deal?

I am a woman, and I ride the Brooks B17 Standard (men's) ... and I wish I had one on my new mtn bike too ... I miss the cushiness of the Brooks.

If the saddle is level with the handlebars, Brooks is a good choice.
If the bar is lower, than the Butterfly is popular but you really just have to try one and hope it works out.
My wife uses a Brooks Finesse.

Male perspective now----Saddles are specific--To the butt that is sitting on them. Road bike and I use a narrow saddle and the best is a Flite Titanium- FOR ME. MTB and the flite Max Gel works. But If I am sitting more upright- Then a wider saddle Like the selle Trans-Am is better. On the offroad Tandem I have the Trans-Am--- Womens version. It works for me on that bike.
Sorry but there is no answer to a particular saddle for a particular butt. It is try it and see- but also get it adjusted to the right angle and fore and aft to start off with.
