Tis The Season

It's 8 am on Christmas eve in Central Pa. Weather man says it will start snowing this evening and we should have 6 inches by Christmas morning.

Tonight, I'm taking the family out for dinner and to look at Christmas lights as we sing carols. Christmas morning we will open the presents and then go sledding, after which we will have hot dogs and hot chocolate on the front porch.

What a Holiday! I feel like I'm living in a Christmas movie.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE ! ! !

It's 9:28pm on Christmas Eve here. We get to start Christmas earlier than you.

We won't be sledding for Christmas. We'll be sweltering in 36 degree celsius heat. (Almost 100 degrees F)

I should go and help wrap presents for the kids and then try to get some sleep. I'm sure we'll be woken at 5:00 am or soon after when the sun comes up.

9:35 AM EST in SE Ohio. Cloudy with rain, snow, ice mix predicted to start at 12 noon and last for several hours into Christmas day. We have had a lot of snow already this December so this has helped put me in the spirit. Took the day off work at the last minute. Will go for a ride before the rain starts.

May everyone have a joyous and wonderful season. May next year bring you blue skies, warm weather, tail winds, good companionship, no flat tires, new bikes, good health, and most of all PEACE.

It's 9am Christmas Eve in SW Missouri USA. We have 12 inches of snow so far and it is still coming down. We are expecting 15+. Glad I went to the grocery yesterday- looks like I'll be stuck at home for a few days.

I love the way snow looks on the first day before it gets all messed up.

Hope all the presents get wrapped in time. Sounds like nice weather for a Christmas night bike ride. Happy holidays!

9 am here in Winnipeg, it's been very light snow off and on for the last week after a significant snowfall, so everything is fresh and white. After people were worrying about the possibility of a brown Christmas!

Temperature -21C, up from -26C overnight. No riding for me now, but there are a few hardy souls still out there.

Not snowing, just air-conditioned in the church. The cute girls singing carols at the front, too nice to be true.

Ate turkey and ham before going for mass. Enjoyed myself with the food and the soup. Had a really nice time, especially at the church with the choir girls!

It's 9:32am Christmas eve.. I am at work... I have already dropped all my inlaws (all female) at the hair salon this morning in Laguna Beach. This afternnon I will pick my sister up at the airport, take her to the house my wife and I just bought and moved into (our first!) Pick up everybody, then go to my parent's house for dinner. Tomorrow we will open presents in the morning, wait for my family to come over and open some more, and then have some more dinner... and if all goes well maybe I can sneak a ride in there someplace... or maybe some trail running... it should be nice weater here in SoCal.. probably about 62 F :-)

Take care all and have a happy Christmas

It's 9:46am here in CA... This x-Michigan boy thinks Mikey's gots it the way it's suppose to be. You be a lucky man... only thing I'd change is hot dogs to rib roast and a bottle of Cab.

I've been in CA since 71...never snows, but got some jack frost the last couple of days... Not enough spirit though, nor people lighting up their homes. Ours gets the prize almost every year in our neighborhood. My family won't be all together for christmas morning, some heading to Michigan, others to Houston , so we're celebrating exchanging on the eve with a touch of sadness. Yet, it is still a Thankful and Joyous time in my heart.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.....to you all and a peaceful good night

I am happy you're snowed in... wish we were...

I noticed your signature for the first time... and found myself I admit, I enjoy a cigar with some port on my patio or while golfing with a few buddies, now and again...

"It was a perfect correlation!

Ride Holiday safe ...

It's twelve noon MST on Christmas Eve in Calgary. Unfortunately we have no snow and none forcast for the near future. I hate El Nino! I'm *gasp* tired of riding my bike....I want to go backcountry skiing! Hey Cycletourist, send 2 feet of the white stuff my way!! That's all I really want for Christmas.

Merry Christmas everyone and best wishes for a safe and happy New Year!

Well its 2:09PM in Dallas and the Galleria is getting crowded with last minute shoppers. Work closes at 3:00PM and I'm hoping I can get a short ride in before church service at 5:00.

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas!

We are supposed to be hammered with snow Christmas Day. Weather report is predicting 12-24 inches, depending on the path of the storm.

WOW! I almost forgot what that even feels like! Right now it sounds kinda nice to be honest. Here in eastern OK we have about 10" of snow on the ground, will be a white Christmas this year, on the news they said that this is the first time for us in 27 years.

Christmas day is almost here. So I have resurected this thread to wish all my cycling friends a MERRY XMAS where ever in the World you may be

Tomorrow I shall spend Christmas alone. ( I know) I declined any family invitations. Mainly because I want to RIDE MY BIKE, maybe that is a sumwhat selfish attitude to take , but it is what I want to do .
Memory`s of to many Christmas`es ending up in family rows haunt me, you know what I mean all that drinking bringing out the worst in certain people.

So this year just for once I will do my favorite thing, go for a long bike ride, then I shall have built up an enormous appetite and can indulge myself with all the Turkey and trimmings I can eat and drink till I am completely stoned without any other person to reprimand me.
I think I am going to enjoy tommorrow!!!!! love to all Willic.......

I can't imagine spending Christmas without family. Our family gatherings always leave good memories though.

Don't be too lonely, willic. And all of you have a great Christmas.
