Finally got my "English 3 Speed"
It's a 1978 Huffy with a Shimano 3 speed hub. I found it on Craigslist. It looks all original. It's pretty darn clean. The fenders and chain guard have a little of that rough texture look to them. It rides like a champ. I love those handlebars, it's like they're laid back but sporty too.
Maybe eventually I'll do a full on restoration of it, and upgrade the heavy steel crank set and rims to alloy ones. But I don't know much about bike mechanics yet so I'll just leave it as is for a while. It's a nice local commuter.

Nice score Matt. I haven't seen too many of the men's versions. I have reworked quite a few of the ladies and handed them out to various friends over the years. They are decent bikes for what they are. Yours was most likely made in the US possibly in Mississippi.
