What to do with spare tires/rims

I have ended up with some extra rims for my mountain bikes. I was thinking about building some kind of rack to hold them all. I wanted something like they have at a tire store for car tires. Does anyone use one, do they even make one, has anyone made one? What about somne kind of pegs sticking out of the wall to hold them like a coat rack?

I don't really understand why you would have rims laying around, but at the moment I have three wheels hung from my home made coat rack. It's just a piece of wood, stained, with some bent forks (the food kind) screwed onto it. It actually looks pretty cool.

I just screwed two of those vinyl-coated "bike hooks" (couple of bucks at Home Depot) into a rafter in the garage and put a piece of plastic pipe between them. Inch and a quarter pipe five feet long will hold at least 20 tires and a few wheels without sagging (we have a dozen bikes in the family, and I bought a bunch of tires at a going-out-of-business sale).
