Cycling shorts

I just bought a pair of cycling shorts and am confused as to what the rule of thumb is; underwear or no underwear? Sorry for being a noob but i dont want to chaffe or all that good stuff. Thanks.

No underwear. You don't want anything with a seam or that can bunch up on you. It will cause unwanted pressure and can lead to discomfort.

Does the "Underwear Nazi" still wonder the halls of BF's? As stated above just say no to underwear with bike shorts.

Though, I have read that someone uses some type of seamless underwear and they like it.
Found it: Coolmax Underwear. I have never tried them, so I can't give advice about them.

I suspect that ASICs seamless underwear will work just fine. I wear a pair of Exfficio underwear that I purchased from REI and, with a clean butt (a quick wash before a ride) I don't have any problems at all - even on century rides. I quit using chamois cream a good while back. I usually hand wash the underwear after each long ride, or perhaps several shorter rides. No smell, no skid marks and, they last and last.

Good hygiene rules.

Try both ways. If underwear bothers you then don't wear it. I don't get any discomfort from wearing underwear with bike shorts.
