Bill Holland Cycles
Anyone know anything about Bill Holland Cycles? Esp.. own one?
|
I just know their extremely expensive, which I'm sure you know already. I belive Holland Titanium is one of the lightest and I think he built like a 12 lb bike at Interbike last year. I'm not sure though.

I can't afford one, but several of my friends do. If you want the finest quality custom bike in Ti, Holland's is the place to get it. They are simply beautiful machines.

a few people in my club ride them.. they seem to like them quite a bit...

My husband has a Holland and just loves it. He even pretty much gave up riding his Litespeed because he likes the Holland so much. When Bill makes a bike he pays close attention to detail and what the customer wants. Bill does exceptional work on the bikes, if you have the money I think it would be well worth it to look into one. My husband rides with Bill on Sunday rides. I've met Bill and he is a really nice guy.

I hate to resurrect this old thread, but how much did the Ti frame cost?
|
My husband said that just the frame (without the fork) would be around $2400.00. My husband's bike cost him $4500.00 and my husband told him what components, wheels etc. he wanted on the bike. Bill's e-mail is bike3@cox.net or his phone number is 619-469-1772. He will respond to e-mail better then phone.
If you think you are an odd dimension person, then Bill Holland can certainly build a bike to fit you. My husband is so picky about his bike that he ask Bill to size him two different times just because he wanted to be sure he would get a really good fit and Bill was happy to accomdate him. My husband has even told me that if a customer buys a bike from him (custom built) and the customer is not happy with it, Bill will build another for him and take back the first one. |

He builds steel frames as well, and has had as employees several of the best steel brazers in the business including Masi USA, Trek, and Rivendell builder Joe Starck.

My husband said if the economy improves and we get back all the money we lost then he will have Bill build me an exogrid bicycle, that would be so cool. Hopefully for my 60th birthday.

I hear the waiting list is getting longer and longer. I've been riding my Holland frame built with S&S couplers now for 2+ years with the notion of only traveling with it. Ha! I've been riding that darn thing 100% since I've gotten it. Training and racing. Just fits like a glove. I've no real excuse to buy another bike, but I'm also thinking about that pretty exogrid frame.
